What is Assistance Dogs International (ADI)?

Assistance Dogs International (ADI) is an internationally recognized accreditor of legitimate service dog organizations. Currently, ADI only recognizes non-profit organizations. Because PAWS Training Centers is a for-profit company, we are not eligible to seek recognition or accreditation through ADI. Some government agencies do require that service dogs on premises maintain a certification through an ADI-accredited organization (i.e., military bases, flying internationally, etc.). For these reasons, PAWS Training Centers recommends that all clients consider pursuing certification with an ADI-recognized organization. However, according to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) you are not required to be certified by any organization to have your dog with you in public environments.
