Erica Steele’s love for training dogs came from an early age of helping her grandfather train his pet dogs. During her time at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, she studied Recreation Therapy which gave her the knowledge and passion for working to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
While studying at UNCW she was involved in courses with a local non-profit who opened her eyes to the world of service dogs. After graduating she worked with the non-profit breeding dogs and working with puppies involved in the program. Life has led her to the Raleigh-Durham area and her passion for dogs has led her back to dog training through PAWS Training Centers.
Erica enjoys working with dogs and plans to continue to learn and understand all the ways dogs can assist us in our day-to-day lives.
